Applications are available for the 2026 RAISE the BARRE Summer Intensive, June 8-19.
For intermediate and advanced dancers seeking a challenging and transformative program. Led by seasoned master teachers and guest artists, Raise the Barre focuses on technical and artistic development with an emphasis on individual and collective growth. An essential and celebrated portion of the intensive, “Move the Barre”, is dedicated to contemporary and movement exploration.

RAISE THE BARRE Information / FAQ's Raise The Barre June 8-19, 2026 General Hours – 9:30-3:45pm WHAT TO WEAR - • Students must be in dress code for every class • Hair must be neat and secured away from the face • Small stud earrings are permitted – no other jewelry. No iWatches. Ladies - Black leotard, pink or skin-toned convertible tights, black ballet skirt (optional), Hip-alignment waist belt. Black dance pants with crop dance top is permitted for movement and non-ballet classes. Gentlemen – Fitted, plain black or white shirt (compression/T-shirt/tank). Boys/mens tights (black, white, or grey), dance belt. Black dance/athletic pants for movement and non-ballet classes. WHAT TO BRING - Shoes – Ballet shoes, pointe shoes, dance socks, half-soles. - Foot care items – tape, band-aids, toe pads, etc - Refillable Water bottle - Nonperishable healthy snack foods - Soft ankle weights. 1 lb – dancers under 50 lbs. 2 lb – dancers 51-90 lbs. 2.5-3 lbs – dancers over 90 lbs. - Notebook, writing utensil STANDARD POLICIES • Students must be quiet and respectful • Students are responsible for cleaning up after themselves. Do not leave behind trash, Band-Aids, etc • Trash/recycling must be properly disposed of into designated receptacles • Food and drinks (except water) are not allowed in carpeted areas or inside studios. Gum in not allowed inside the building. • Items needed for class (shoes, water, for example) must be kept with the students inside the studio. Additional belongings must be kept INSIDE dance bags and stored INSIDE a locker or cubby. ALL belongings in the locker room must be LOCKED inside of a locker. No exceptions. • Students must remain inside the studios during the assigned hours. The ladies locker room is available to students who need to visit their assigned locker for personal items. • Cell phones must be silent and kept inside dance bag. ATTENDANCE: Students are expected to attend all scheduled classes for their assigned level and in class and ready to dance at the designated class time. Regular attendance is essential. Any illness or injury resulting in an absence from classes must be communicated via email. CURRICULUM: The faculty of Raise The Barre have created a thoughtful curriculum designed to challenge and excite the dancers, encouraging students to truly raise their barre! Classes are Monday through Friday. The daily schedule will be posted and emailed. The schedule varies according to each level/age group.

How to Apply:
Step 1: Submit your application
Complete the Raise the Barre student application with all required dancer and parent information.

Our faculty will review the application and place your dancer in the most appropriate level.

Once accepted, families will receive enrollment instructions.
