Originally from Trujillo, Peru (the second most populous metropolitan area after Lima), Sandra began dancing salsa and jazz at the age of 7 under the direction of her uncle Luis A. Rodriguez. Three years later, she started her Ballet training with the Ballet Municipal School of Trujillo, directed by Stella Puga (founder of the International Ballet Festivals of Peru). Sandra graduated with Excellence in 1998.

The following year, Sandra began her career as a professional Ballet dancer and instructor at the Institute National of Culture – La Libertad in Trujillo. From 1999 to 2004, she developed from chorus dancer to soloist showing a knack for stage presence and dramatic performances.

Sandra won gold in the 2004 International Jazz Dance Competition in Buenos Aires, Argentina. That same year, the National Ballet of Peru hired her for the company where she became soloist.

In 2007, she won a highly competitive scholarship to study ballet, jazz, and musical theater at the Julio Boca’s Dance School back in Buenos Aires. In the same year, Sandra was hired to come to Las Vegas USA and perform with the famous Latin company “Havana Night”.

Sandra is a featured dancer in Cirque Do Soleil’s production of “Mystere” where she portrays “The Black Widow” character. She is also on faculty at The Rock Center For Dance, one of America’s premier dance studios.
