For over a decade, Ricardo Barraza Jr. (a.k.a. Freak or El Freakon) has been exploring the art of bboying as a member of the Las Vegas based crew Knucklehead Zoo (a group of breakdancers who have set themselves apart from most other crews by presenting themselves as both a battle crew in their subculture as well as business minded entertainers.) Performance credits include Splash at the Riviera Casino and the Steve Wyrick Magic Show, as well as appearing in Disney's Corbin Bleu music video "Deal With It" and feature entertainer at the first of its kind Youtube Live event in San Francisco. His skills have also afforded him international travel, performing for US troops in Qatar and touring various countries including France, Korea, Germany, England, and Iceland.

From underground to mainstream, Ricky plays an integral role in the evolution of the Zoo's battle style of street dancing into a marketable means by creating original concepts and choreography that develop into wildly entertaining and awe inspiring shows that are performed throughout the U.S. and internationally. The 2007 film "Planet Bboy," which documents Knucklehead Zoo at the 2005 Battle of the Year, exemplifies this journey between battle experience to show performance.
In September 2008, Freak was part artistic director and co-choreographer for the first 60 minute Bboy off-Broadway show "REWIND," which debuted a month later at Time Square's New Victory Theater.

A constant student and teacher, his hard work illuminates the subculture of bboying and aids in its progression into the mainstream as a well respected art form that is growing rich in cultural history as one of the four elements of hip-hop. Aside from breakdancing, Ricky is an accomplished hip-hop and house dancer who has been taught by some of the most world renowned pioneers of the three genres. Actively competing and teaching workshops around the country allows him to share his innovative style and passion for dance.
